Environmental Videos
In recent years, Johannsen Video Production has specialized in video projects about environmental concerns. These include public awareness videos, tapes for volunteer orientation, fundraising and promotion, as well as tapings of public meetings and trainings, and aerial footage of planned public projects - future bike paths or wetland restorations.
We are available to produce projects in the greater Chicago area, extending north into central Wisconsin and west to the Mississippi River.
Clients include:
Four Rivers Environmental Coalition, Natural Land Institute, Burpee Museum of Natural History, Severson Dells Education Foundation, Northern Illinois Botanical Society, Winnebago County Board, Rock River Water Reclamation District and the DuPage County Forest Preserve District.
For the Upper Rock River Ecosystem Partnership, we produced a "call for community involvement" with the Willow Creek Watershed. The video is a primer about issues facing small tributaries caught up in urban sprawl.
Work in progress: an instructional/promotional video about "green" shoreline stabilization techniques implemented along the Rock River. Erosion control methods developed for stream restoration are installed along a large, powerful river and then evaluated for effectiveness.
Produced for Rockford Park District and Winnebago County Forest Preserve District as part of a grant from Illinois DNR Conservation 2000 fund.
